Time to think about holidays
Dear students, What are your plans for the week of our spring break around Easter? Travelling with your family, spending more playing sports and having fun, visiting family or friends, or something completely different? Here is how you are going to report about your holidays to the class:
- Take a photo or choose one you already have, representing the activity or the place you are visiting.
- Go to BigHugeLabs, click on Trading Card.
- Upload your photo, write a title, a subtitle, a sentence or two describing your activity or the place you are visiting.
- Create a card with your report.
- Save the card as a photo on your computer and share it on Flickr, facebook, ...
- Don't forget to share it on our wiki Talking Cultures Wiki!

My favourite sport
Tennis
My favorite sport is tennis. It is not a team sport. There are usually two players playing against each other. To play tennis you need a racket and a tennis ball. Tennis is played on a tennis court. To become a good tennis player you need to train hard, have a good condition and a lot of energy. Anyway, I've been playing tennis for six years and I love to play it, especially in spring when the weather is sunny but still not too hot. :)

My favourite sport
Football
My favourite sport is football. It is a team sport. In football each team has eleven players. Two teams play against each other. The winner is the team which scores more goals. Every player has his own role. You can be a goalkeeper, defence player, midfielder or a striker. If you want to be very good in it you have to train hard, every day at least one hour. You have to be fit and have a lot of energy. When you are playing a football match there are four referees. For football you need a lot of equipment like football jersey, shorts, boots and a football. Professional football players wear pads to protect their legs. It isn't enough to play it, you must live for it.

I've just come across a beautiful online writing tool. It's called Max My Dream and it shows you your dream animated.
You only have to write your dream in 140 characters and wait for a few seconds. Then you can see it. You can also send it to a friend's email address or share it on facebook or Twitter. There is also music that accompanies the animation. I didn't find it very pleasant, so I turned it off (top right corner).
This is my dream. It includes you, my students. Can you guess it. If you can, write it in comments.

Creating avatar icons for your posts
To avoid using your individual photos, we'll create an avatar icon for each of you. There are many ways of doing it as a fun activity and for free. I'll tell you about one.
How about visiting http://avatars.yahoo.com/ and choosing a shape you like or you think reflects your interests, or maybe even looks like you in a way.
When you create your avatar picture, you can right click it and save it.
For example:
To get a small picture of your avatar face, to use as an icon, for example when you are writing comments, you can resize it using http://www.sherv.net/icon-maker/ It is easy, you just upload the picture, choose the part you like and save it again.

My favorite sport-DANCE
DANCE
A lot of people don´t find dancing a sport, but that can only be said by somone who´s never tried it. You have to put a lot of effort in to becoming a dancer. You have to be fit, creative and full of energy all the time. It takes hours of hard work and practice for only 3 minutes show.The contestants are divided in to categories by their age. There are kids, juniors and seniors. There are also four disciplines: solos, douets, small groups and formations. The championships are judged by the judges who grad the preformances on scale 1-10.
To be a dancer doesn´t mean to attend school of arts, or be part of a dance group,it means that while you dance you´re in your own world and nothing can toutch you!
IT TAKES AN ATHLETE TO DANCE, BUT IT TAKES AND ARTIST TO BE A DANCER!
